This old Douglas fir is located high in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone. If I were to estimate I would but him at more than 500 years old. If thats the case then this tree was already 120 years old when the Mayflower landed at Plymouth Rock! I find it likely he will out live us all. What an amazing tree.
